The Ultimate Fix for the Classic E61 Sagging Rear End
The BMW E61 5-Series Touring is renowned for its versatility and driving pleasure, but its standard rear self-leveling air suspension is a well-known weak point. The system's compressor is responsible for maintaining the correct ride height, but it inevitably wears out, leading to the infamous "E61 sag" and persistent dashboard warnings.
This Biste Air Suspension Compressor is engineered to be a direct, high-quality replacement for the original Wabco unit. It provides the robust and reliable air supply needed to lift your vehicle's rear end back to its factory stance, eliminating error messages and restoring the comfortable, stable ride you expect from a BMW.
MANDATORY INSTALLATION PROTOCOL - YOUR WARRANTY DEPENDS ON IT:A failed compressor is often the result of another issue in the system. To ensure a long-lasting repair and protect your new part, these steps are ESSENTIAL:
INSPECT FOR AIR LEAKS: Before installing the new compressor, you MUST check the system for leaks, especially from the old, porous air springs (air bags). An undetected leak will force the new compressor to run constantly, causing it to burn out quickly. This type of failure is not covered by the warranty.
ALWAYS REPLACE THE RELAY: The compressor's power relay is a critical component that wears out. You MUST install a new relay along with the new compressor to prevent electrical damage and premature failure.
